MAP = ROI

SEO & AEO for Australian service businesses

Google Has Become More Human

The ranking factors that matter most are no longer technical. They are behavioural. Does the searcher click, stay, read and convert? We built our SEO around those four questions before Google made them ranking factors. Most agencies are still optimising for the algorithm.

Not a sales call. Bring your website, leave with a diagnosis.

Every Agency Says This

  • We improve your rankings.
  • We drive more traffic.
  • We grow your online presence.
  • We get you to page one.

These are not differentiation. They are the floor. Every agency says them because every agency is working from the same playbook.

If you have paid for SEO before, you know the pattern. The reports looked strong. The phone did not ring at the rate the reports suggested it should.

The problem was not the traffic. Nobody was measuring what the traffic did once it arrived.

Optimise for the wrong signals and you get impressive reports and poor results.

Three Things You Won't Hear Elsewhere

Each one was named and built into our approach before the market was talking about it.

01
Eight Specialists From Day One
Not a generalist team ramped up as the campaign grows. Eight people with defined, non-overlapping roles from the first week: Commercial Intent & ROI, Strategy & AI Integration, Content, Technical SEO, On-Page & Internal Linking, two Executors, a Quality Officer and a Link Builder.

The Quality Officer reviews every piece of content and every task before it is complete. Most agencies do not have this role. They rely on the person doing the work to check the work.
The team is the positioning asset, not the founder.
02
Click Optimisation As A Discipline
A site can rank strongly and still get no traffic. That is a click problem, not a ranking problem. Most agencies apply ranking solutions to click problems and the client cannot understand why the phone is quiet.

Meta descriptions do not affect position. They decide whether someone clicks. So we treat search snippets as copywriting: curiosity-driven framing, tested against Search Console click-through data, page by page.
No other agency we have encountered practises this as a named discipline.
03
Tipping Points, Including Hidden Ones
Every ranking has a tipping point: the combination of signals that moves a page from position eight to three, or page two to page one. It is a threshold, not a single factor.

Most agencies spread effort evenly. We find which signals are close to threshold and push there. Some are hidden: a contact page suppressing conversions, a mobile layout raising bounce on one device, a meta description pulling the wrong intent.
Behavioural improvements compound. Technical fixes stabilise.

Content From Real Buyer Questions

Before a word is written, we extract the questions your clients ask in person, by email and on sales calls. That is the language of the market, not a keyword-tool export.

AI accelerates the draft. A senior writer interrogates it, and the Quality Officer signs it off. AI speed, human expert standard.

Cast the net, then double down
Two phases. Compounding, not linear.
  • Phase 1 — Cast the net. Cover every relevant topic. Establishes topical authority and surfaces terms no tool would suggest.
  • Phase 2 — Double down. Return to what performs: deepen it, add conversion elements, strengthen internal links.
  • Most agencies never leave phase one. They keep producing new content without optimising what already exists.

Every Core Update Confirmed It

Google has not been making arbitrary changes. It has been moving, update by update, toward reading a page the way a human would. Our approach was built for that direction before each step was announced.

How much Google weighs human behaviour
2011
Panda
Thin, low-value content demoted. Quality over volume.
2012
Penguin
Purchased and manipulative link schemes penalised.
2013
Hummingbird
Search moves from keywords to the meaning behind the query.
2015
RankBrain
Machine learning weighs how searchers interact with results.
2019
BERT
Natural-language understanding of the whole query, not the keywords.
2021
Page Experience
Core Web Vitals make the user's experience a ranking input.
2022
Helpful Content
People-first content rewarded. Content written for search engines demoted.
2024
March Core Update
Helpful-content signals folded into the core algorithm. Scaled low-value content targeted.

AI Overviews & AI Search
Answers are drawn from pages that answer the question. Being the source is the new page one.
M.A.P.
Built here from day one
Click, stay, read, convert. Every update above moved Google closer to what this campaign already measures. Each one is a confirmation, not a disruption.
The direction is set. Google is not going to become less human in how it reads a page. Behaviour-based SEO is aligned with where Google is going, not just where it is.

Vanity Metrics Vs Customer Pathways

Traffic is a vanity metric when nothing follows it. A page with ten thousand visits and zero enquiries is not performing. A page with five hundred visits and twenty enquiries is.

We report the pathway, not the traffic: which search brought the visitor, which page held them, whether they enquired, and whether that enquiry became a client. That is the only line that connects SEO to revenue.

  • A ranking without a click is invisible.
  • A click without a conversion is wasted.
  • A conversion without intent is a lead that will not close.

Questions To Ask Any Agency

The question is no longer "who gets the best rankings?" It is:

  • Which agency diagnoses whether I have a ranking problem or a click problem before deciding where to focus?
  • Which agency has a commercial intent specialist whose whole role is finding the keywords that bring the best clients, not just any clients?
  • Which agency reads human behaviour signals rather than chasing technical compliance?
  • Who else has a quality officer reviewing every piece of content before it goes live?
  • Which agency built for behavioural signals before Google started rewarding them?
Most agencies cannot answer these. That is the point.
Who we work with
Built For Service Businesses
Mortgage & finance brokersLaw firmsHealthcare practices
  • Businesses where one enquiry is worth thousands and the wrong lead wastes a senior person's afternoon.
  • Clients typically see their first organic and AI-search enquiries within 2–3 months.
  • Many arrived after 6–12 months with a previous agency and nothing to show for it.
How it starts
A 15-Minute Call, Not A Sales Call
  • Before the call we review your site. On the call we show you the strategy, why it works for your market, the timeline, the cost and the guarantee. You decide.
  • You bring: your website address. What you have tried before is useful, not required.
  • We bring: a diagnosis (ranking problem or click problem), the plan, and a straight answer on fit.
  • Terms: no lock-in contracts. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.

Before You Book

How is this different from the SEO I have already paid for?
Most SEO is built to move rankings and report traffic. Ours is built to move behaviour: click, stay, read, convert. Different signals, different team structure, different reporting.
How long before I see enquiries?
Existing site: enquiries usually within 2–3 months. New site: 4–6 months. We keep working until they arrive.
Do you report rankings?
We track them, but we report enquiries, conversations and clients. Rankings are an input, not an outcome.
What does the eight-person team cost me?
The same monthly fee. Specialist roles mean senior people are not spending your budget on repetitive execution.
Do you work with AI search as well as Google?
Yes. Content that answers real buyer questions is what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews cite. Same method, both channels.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. You can leave whenever you want.
